学高为师，身正为范，故为师范。

现代“师范”一词，成为培养教师的学校，尽管名称不同，级别有异，意义仍是指培养“堪为人师而模范之”的人才。

4 感悟体会

normal是“普通的；平常的；通常的”的意思，跟师范学校没有任何关系。但是norm是“行为准则、规范”的意思，跟师范有点关系。

“师范”这个专有名词是外来语，最早起源于日本，在1872年，日本建立第一所师范学校，使用了normal一词，于是这个用法后来也传入了中国。

1923年，参考杜威、孟禄等学者的意见，北京师范大学的英文名就被定为了Peking Normal University（后改成Beijing Normal Univerisity）。在这之后，我国成立的其他师范大学和院校，也都沿用了Normal University这一译法。
